***Warning*** This post contains blissful happiness and kind words. If you are unaccustomed to these kinds of sentiments of general life enjoyment, do not read any more!
Some how, some where I turned into a happier person. I have no idea where this phenomenon took place or how it happened but it's a crazy thing I tell you. Here I am minding my own business when BAM! I am happy and gushing and teary eyed. I think The Monster did this to me, but I am unsure. Anywho, Let me bore you to death with the ramblings of a happy time, on a happy street in the 'burbs.
It was a semi-peaceful evening full of the sights and sounds of summer including the neighbor power washing her deck and the front of her house for 5 hours straight.

9pm in a somewhat quiet neighborhood in Small Town USA |
Now I am not one to get on the neighbors for weird activities, heck we are weird to the core in our house so the power washing marathon didn't bother me until it started to get all sunset-y and cozy. We had enjoyed our delightful dinner of roasted everything over a fire and had decided that we needed to kick back like this every weekend.

Relaxation in a cup, adult beverage style |
I was blissfully unaware of the pressures of everyday life and decided it was time to look up to the sky and thank the heavenly powers that be for such a wonderful day full of food and family unit fun.

My heavenly view |
I was just starting to think that the neighbor was finally done with her marathon of cleanliness, it's possible her daughter is graduating this year and they are getting ready for an open house, so I decided to relax a bit and think of things more pleasant than the suburbs in the summer. Until she turned that stupid thing on again.....

9:35 pm... irate at this point |
After about 20 more minutes of listening to her power wash her stupid house she finally stopped when one of the other neighbors came over to chat with her. Eventually she did turn in at roughly 10pm but by that time, so had we. But not before capturing the Scooter Squad on their way to teen coolness. If only the neighbor girls had been out while they were exhibiting their male status on a scooter.

Scooter Squad in an awesome action shot! |
All in all, it wasn't a bad evening despite the hum and irritating noise of a power washer and the smell of teen angst in the air. Ahhh, to be young again! Here's a random picture of The Hubs enjoying wireless wonders of the Internets while by a fire.

He will kill me, but alas he doesn't read my blogs! :) |
And here is an artsy view of my neighbors ridiculous flood lights! Happy Memorial Day and start of summer all!!

It's artistically blurry to protect the identity of the neighbor I actually enjoy :) |
